Playgroup WA often receives funding from government (either State or Federal) for special projects to extend or add to our day-to-day service delivery. These projects are usually bespoke and run for a specified time.

Some we lead, while others we partner with like-minded community groups or organisations to ensure we meet the specific project needs and requirements.

Supported Playgroups

Playgroup Australia has been appointed by the Commonwealth Department of Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FACSIA) as the funding recipient for the Supported Playgroup Program. Playgroup WA will be delivering the program in Western Australia and will be establishing 21 supported playgroups over a three year period.

Literacy Links Project

Playgroup WA has become the new recipient of this exciting initiative by Communities for Children in the Mirrabooka area.

West Pilbara Early Literacy Project

The West Pilbara Early Literacy Project (WPELP) aims to build on and enhance existing community strengths and resources in order to improve early language development and literacy of children from birth to five years of age within the region.
