Our latest Play Day was on Tuesday 19th August at the Alf Faulkner Hall in Eden Hill.
Despite the occasional light sprinkling of rain everyone enjoyed themselves immensely.
"There were a wide variety of activities available for children and their parents to enjoy together including sticky contact collage, a posting pipe, rice play, macaroni necklaces, paper crowns, bubbles, dinosaur washing and newspaper bats and balls, not to mention some wonderful singing with our parachute and a fantastic story to finish," said Playgroup WA's Training and Development Officer Tracy Buchholz.
Some comments from our participants were:
- Loved the wide range of activities that were set out for the children
- Rice shakers a big hit
- I was especially surprised and pleased to see my 19-mth old threading pasta onto a pipe cleaner!
- Kids could just go to whatever one [activity] they were interested in
- I think all playgroups within the area should endeavour to send one or two representatives from the committee
"We’re so glad that everyone had such an enjoyable time," said Tracy.
