Supported Playgroups Program 

The Supported Playgroups Program is a Federal Government initiative, with Playgroup Australia (and each state association) being the national service provider.

Supported playgroups are run by a trained facilitator, with the aim of engaging families with children under 5, who for varying reasons may not access a community playgroup. The playgroups run for a 12 month period with the aim of building the groups capacity to either transition to a community playgroup, or take over the running of the group themselves.

All our supported playgroups have qualified and experienced Development Workers, programmed activities each and every week, and provide opportunities for young children and their families to socialise and learn through play.
