Rockhampton Fun Day in the Park
Over 80 families joined in the fun of National Playgroup Week in Rockhampton on Wednesday 25 March 2009. The Rockhampton Botanical Gardens came alive with fun and excitement to celebrate the importance of play in the local community.
Many Rockhampton Playgroups including Squiggles, Uniting Churches, Bouldercombe, and Kids Corner Playgroup assisted by providing activities for the children on the day. Although the Playground at the Gardens was a big hit, children shared in the fun of craft, painting, printmaking, puzzles, parachute, and bubble blowing activities.
Thanks to all those volunteers who helped to make the Rockhampton Fun Day in the Park a success, and a special thanks to Tanya Gill for organising and co-ordinating the event.
