Free membership for all first time parents
In 2009, Playgroup Queensland, as a member of Playgroup Australia, will be continuing our 'Take Time to Play' campaign where all first time parents with babies born between 1 January and 31 December 2009 will receive free Playgroup Queensland membership. This offer will mark 35 years of Playgroup and celebrate the importance of play for new families within the community.
Upon obtaining free membership, parents may join existing groups or form their own Playgroups and are entitled to all member benefits and services including comprehensive insurance, access to our state-wide network of Toy Libraries, a free Australian Baby Card valued at $30, Playgroup Queensland resources, and Speakers Tour discounts. Ongoing membership in 2009 will attract the Association's membership fee.

What happens at Playgroup?
Parents and carers work together to provide their babies and young children with opportunities to learn through play. Activities may include stories and songs, making new discoveries by playing with water and sand, developing creativity through art and craft, and active fun with obstacle courses, parachutes and much more!

Conditions of Free Membership
- The offer is for first time parents only with an infant child born between 1 January and 31 December 2009.
- Parents may form their own Playgroup with a minimum of 5 families.
- This offer is not extended to current members of Playgroup Queensland.
- Each family accepted as a member is entitled to all member benefits and services, including comprehensive insurance, upon completion and signing of the Association's membership form.
- Upon acceptance of membership each member agrees to abide by the Association's conditions of affiliation, Constitution and By Laws, policies and procedures as amended from time to time.
- Ongoing membership in future years will attract the Association's annual membership fee.
- This offer does not apply to weekly Playgroup attendance fees (average $3.00 per week).
- The offer may be withdrawn at any time at the discretion of the Association's Board.
