Benefits to Members
All members of the Playgroup Association of the Northern Territory receive the following benefits:
- FREE home delivery of the Playgroup Association's quarterly newspaper, Kids Kapers
- Playdough Pete will keep you up-to-date in each edition of Kids Kapers
- FREE access to the Playgroup Association's book and video library;
- FREE use of craft materials in the Playgroup Recycling Centre;
- FREE use of facilities and equipment at Playgroup House when visiting as a family;
- DISCOUNTS from Playgroup Supporter retailers throughout the Northern Territory;
- DISCOUNTS at the Playgroup Shop retail craft outlets at Playgroup House Darwin and Playgroup House Alice Springs;
- DISCOUNTS at various Playgroup Association concerts, family fun days, workshops and events;

Benefits to Registered Playgroups
Playgroups often operate in the Northern Territory without registering with the Playgroup Association and families may attend those playgroups without becoming a member of the Association. But if you are thinking of attending a Playgroup or starting a new Playgroup, for your own protection, make sure it is registered with the Playgroup Association. In addition to the individual benefits enjoyed as a Playgroup Association member, registered Playgroups have access to:
- Insurance policies covering the loss or damage to toys and equipment from theft, accidents, fire, flood and storm surge;
- A licence from the Australian Publishing and Recording Association (APRA) allowing Playgroups to play commercially-produced music in public settings;
- A toy library providing a range of toys and equipment which can be borrowed for up to one month (additional charges apply - refer Membership Categories);
- Development Officers available to visit your Playgroup to conduct activity workshops and assist with problems ranging from administration of your Playgroup to managing childrens' behaviour;
- The Playgroup Manual which provides detailed information about all aspects of running and participating in Playgroup;
