Playgroup House Darwin and Playgroup House Alice Springs are the administrative headquarters of the Playgroup Association of the Northern Territory.  From these locations you can access staff to answer all your questions about finding or starting a playgroup, joining the Playgroup Association and just about anything else related to young children in the Northern Territory.

• A number of existing playgroups also access both Playgroup Houses on a regular basis.  Each site provides indoor and outdoor play spaces, toys and equipment for the children, storage areas and full kitchen facilities.
• Since January 2001, Playgroup House Darwin has been undergoing a major transformation.  The building, a former child care centre, is being remodelled, repainted and redecorated.  New undercover, outdoor areas are to be provided by mid 2002.  The playground has been levelled to make way for new climbing frames, swings, sand pits, a splash pool, 'trike track' and barbecue facilities…all set in lush tropical surrounds.
• Two indoor play rooms will be air-conditioned and filled with great toys.  You and your children will be able to bring your own craft materials, purchase craft packs from the Playgroup Shop or join in with one of the resident playgroups for heaps of fun activities.
• Once the renovations are complete, Playgroup Association members will be able to access the venue FREE for casual family playtimes.  Nominal charges will apply for non-Members and exclusive use for BYO or fully-catered birthday parties and special events.
