This month we have details of the Parents Conference, getting involved in Jeans for Genes Day and we want mums to fill out a survey to support research at Macquarie University. There is also news about PlayConnect & MyTime, a great on-line resource for treasurers, and an invitaiton to come and see us at The Baby Show in September. As always we have great giveaways and an update on new discounts available by using your Australian Baby Card.
The countdown is on for the 2009 Parents Conference on the Central Coast. It promises to be a great day and a wonderful opportunity to meet up with our members.
The date is set – Saturday August 29 at the Mingarra Club, Tumbi Umbi.
This is a free event for all members but you must register.
And for Non-Members it's just $20.00 and bookings are available on line, so why not bring along a friend or two?
You will have the chance to meet your fellow playgroupers, as well as the Board and provide valuable feedback, get involved with the forums and activities and help us make Playgroup bigger and better.
There are more than 20 lucky door prizes for the day – will it be your lucky day?

50 new Playgroups for autistic children
Playgroup Australia is celebrating a major milestone for families with young children diagnosed with autism– the establishment of 50 PlayConnect Playgroups around the country.
PlayConnect Playgroups offer a unique experience for children under six with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) – the chance to play, connect and socialise with other children and their parents in a safe and fun environment.
In NSW alone there are 15 groups operating with another four about to commence.
