PlayVision Award 2009The inaugural Playgroup NSW PlayVision Award will be awarded to the most innovative and entertaining visual presentation of ‘the Playgroup experience’. You could film / video or photograph YOUR playgroup as it goes about its weekly session. Show us the great activities you do, the fabulous physical environment you have created for play and most of all – the FUN that everyone at Playgroup experiences!This is an award for creativity, both in the playgroup environment and in the presentation itself! How to apply:1. Discuss with your group how you could best capture the FUN of Playgroup and all the great things you do when you’re there. • Is it the people? The venue? Maybe the activities that you do? • Or you might record a special day or excursion? 3. Work out how you can best show these visually. • Are you going to film your playgroup using your video camera (or phone!)? • Or maybe use photos in a powerpoint or slide presentation? • Will you include sound? Perhaps from the actual activity or you might choose a ‘soundtrack’ that ‘reflects’ what’s happening? • Who will edit? • Who will decide the content? 4. Before you start filming / photographing, make sure that everyone to be filmed has signed an Image Release form 5. Copy your final product to a DVD and show the production to all members of your group for approval. Download the application form and post in with you DVD and the completed Image Release form signed by everyone in the production. (NB: The application must be signed by the Office Bearers of the group - Coordinator, Secretary and Treasurer) Your Application Form, Image Release Form(s) and the DVD should be mailed to Playgroup NSW Inc. PO Box 6665, Wetherill Park DC 1851 by Friday, 17 July 2009. How the entries will be judged: The PlayVision Award will be decided by a panel of professional film-makers and Playgroup NSW Board members. The award will be announced and presentation made at Playgroup 2009 on 29th August. All playgroups that submit an entry will receive a letter acknowledging their work. |
