Playgroup of the YearIs your playgroup a great example of co-operation, inclusion and fun? Has your group achieved something great over the past 12 months? Then enter your group in the Playgroup NSW Awards for Excellence! Playgroup NSW Awards for Excellence are conducted each year to acknowledge playgroups who strive to achieve 'Best Practice in a Playgroup Setting'. Awards are given to playgroups which meet the standards that contribute to a successful playgroup. The standards are in line with the aims and values of Playgroup NSW. 2008 Award Applications Complete the application form (download from the Members Gateway/Resources/Awards) or contact Playgroup NSW on 1800 171 882 for the form to be mailed to you. Forms will also be included in the May mailout. - Read and discuss the Recognition of Excellence application form with your whole Playgroup. Many Playgroups have found this the most valuable part of the process. It is a chance to identify and appreciate all the things you already are doing well, and gain ideas on how to do some things even better.
- Show the completed application form to the whole playgroup for its approval. The application must be signed by the three cheque signatories, and posted to Playgroup NSW Inc. PO Box 6665, Wetherill Park DC 1851 by 18 July 2008 or e-mailed to Playgroup NSW.
- The awards will be announced on August 30 at Playgroup 2008.
