Joining a Playgroup

Finding Your Nearest Playgroup

To find your nearest playgroup, you may either use the Find a Playgroup search facility located on the right-hand side of this page, contact Playgroup NSW by e-mail or telephone free call 1800 171 882. Our friendly staff will be happy to assist you!

A requirement of all Playgroups that are affiliated to Playgroup NSW, for insurance & legal purposes, is that every member must be a financial member of Playgroup NSW.

Membership fees

Potential members are allowed two visits to a playgroup before the compulsory Playgroup NSW membership fee must be paid. The membership fee is payable through the playgroup or direct to Playgroup NSW. Playgroups are entitled to charge a visitors/session fee for the two weeks.

The membership fee entitles you, your children and any member of your family to attend any playgroup in NSW. An additional nominal fee will also apply to cover day to day running costs.

For 2008, the Membership Fees are as follows -

2008 $32.
Terms Three and Four 2008 (members joining between July 16 - December 2008) $25.
Term Four 2008 and 2009 $45 (15 month option).
Please Note - Only one membership fee is applicable per year

You may become a member of Playgroup NSW for the membership benefits, but do not necessarily need to attend an affiliated playgroup.

Members will receive their Playgroup NSW/Australian Baby Card membership card, within four weeks of the receipt of their membership fee at Playgroup NSW. A multiple year membership payment option is available for 2 or 3 years.
