Summary

The Marketing & Communications Team Leader is a key role in the success of Playgroup NSW.

As a membership based organisation, the strategic purpose of the position is to assist Playgroup NSW in the management and consolidation of its reputation and credibility profile with its members, affiliated Playgroups, zones and its broader stakeholder relationships.

Essential Job Functions

The primary tasks of the Marketing & Communications Team Leader are as follows:
  • Strategically work with Playgroup NSW’s CEO and Management Team to identify, analyse and act on opportunities to enhance Playgroup NSW’s communication capacities to build and enhance the reputation of Playgroup NSW as a leader in Early Years Parenting and Play sector, and as the peak body for Playgroups in NSW.
  • Create, coordinate and implement Playgroup NSW’s communication strategies, tools and activities across the network which includes the Playgroup NSW corporate branding and website, Annual Report, Media Releases and other communication material.
  • Develop and create opportunities for enhancing Playgroup NSW’s relationship with the media including the preparation and editing of media releases.
  • Assist the CEO and Management Team to achieve the strategic goals for the organisation.
  • Prepare editorial material for State and National pages of Totline.

Skills & Knowledge Required

Qualifications, Experience and/or Training
  • Marketing or Communications degree or significant proven experience in Marketing/ Communications
  • Experience in a membership focussed organisation desirable
