About Us
The Australian Government is providing $4.5 million funding over four years for the delivery of PlayConnect Playgroups.  This funding is part of the $190 million Helping Children with Autism package to help address the need for support and services for children with ASD.  Playgroup Australia is working in partnership with the State and Territory Playgroup Associations to deliver 150 groups by June 2012.

PlayConnect Playgroups provide a tailored play environment designed to meet the needs of children up to six years of age with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  These groups are free to attend and are open to families who have either received a formal diagnosis of ASD or whose child may be displaying ASD-like symptoms.  The aim is to make play experiences more accessible to all children with an ASD.

The PlayConnect initiative is managed by Playgroup Australia.
