PlayConnect Playgroups are a component of the Australian Government's Helping Children with Autism package.

Playgroup Australia has received funding to establish 150 PlayConnect Playgroups nationally over the next 4 years. Fifty (50) PlayConnect Playgroups will be established nationally between October 2008 and June 2009. A further 100 PlayConnect Playgroups will start by 30 June 2011. PlayConnect Playgroups will offer play-based learning opportunities for children with ASD or ASD like symptoms, and create and extend social support networks for their families and carers. These Playgroups will also connect families and carers to resources available in their local area and to other elements of the Helping Children with Autism package.

If you would like to be involved in a PlayConnect Playgroup Program, think your community needs a PlayConnect Playgroup please fill out either the Expression of Interest Form for Families or Professionals and sent it back to Playgroup Australia by:
