The ACT Playgroups Association Inc. (ACTPGA) runs a toy library for its registered playgroups. The toy library is located at our office at the Cook Community Hub at 41 Templeton Street, Cook, (note: car park and entrance are off Ellis Street)  and is available during office hours (Mon. - Fri., 9.30 a.m. - 2.30 p.m., school terms only). Playgroups registered with ACT Playgroups are able to borrow a range of kits designed around a variety of themes.  Kits are available to all ACT Playgroups Association registered playgroups from the beginning of term 1 each year and are to be returned at the end of November. There is no hire fee, although a refundable deposit is required. (Please call us on 1800 171 882 to find out the current deposit amount.) Groups may hire more than one kit, but a separate deposit is required for each kit.

Our Development and Support Workers have spent time compiling and assessing the kits to best respond to the developmental needs of children and playgroups.  Kits include some or all of the following: toys, puzzles, books and games. Each kit also includes music resources as well as literacy resources and ideas on how best to incorporate these into playgroup activities. There are roundly 20 kits available on a first come, first served basis.
