INTRODUCTION TO ACT PLAYGROUPS ASSOCIATION INC

Are you looking to make new friends? Do you want your children to socialise with other children? The ACT Playgroups Association can give you information about existing playgroups in the ACT and neighbouring parts of NSW, or can you help you start a playgroup of your own!

The ACT Playgroups Association (ACTPGA) is a not for profit organisation governed by a voluntary committee. The Committee is the legal authority for the organisation and are trustees for the Association. The Committee is therefore entrusted to ensure that the organisation is soundly governed.

The Association obtains funding from the ACT Department of Education and Community Services and the Commonwealth Department of Family and Community Services. The balance of revenue is obtained from fees and fund raising activities.

ACTPGA is a member of the Playgroup Australia Inc. Playgroup Australia derives its membership from every state and works on issues of interest to Playgroups throughout Australia.
